This was a couple weeks back when billtvshow had the contest, and i was one of the ones picked. So ya this is the first song we played was snow, and then we played the perfect drug so i will have that video up some other time this week. This is not my best run but it was good enough for gold stars. Also since I can’t figure out why my dazzle is not working properly i might have to record with my video camera again. Hey I was just wondering how do you download songs for rock band 2 for the PS3? Also when you get a song how do you play it once you download it? Would it be on your game already when you want to play it?

Sign in to the playstation store, select a song and buy it. when you download it you probably need to install it so click on it and install. when you’ve installed it, it will probably be selected from the list of included songs.

I don’t know if this is accurate because I don’t own rock band 2 but when you download additional content it usually appends the information to the ‘Game Data’ which will then be loaded when the game starts.

Hey all, I’m thinking about getting GH 4 & 5 and the Beatles Rock Band & Rock Band 2 for the Wii. Is there a set of instruments that I can buy that will work with all, or most, of these games? I’d prefer it if they came with one of the games… anyways, thanks in advance.
Thanks! One more thing… is a Wii remote needed to play each instrument?

The above poster is right. It doesn’t say, but the GH 4 instruments work with Metallica and GH5. To your other question, yes you do need a wiimote for every instrument (but Rock band instruments don’t need a wiimote for every one). Also, if you like singing, you can have up to 3 mics in The beatles rock band.

Hey I was just wondering how do you download songs for rock band 2 for the PS3? Also when you get a song how do you play it once you download it? Would it be on your game already when you want to play it?

Hey Knuckles, there's two ways of downloading songs. Within the game, just select "Music Store" from the main menu; or from the PS home screen, select "Playstation Store".

I find shopping through the game to be a lot easier since it'll take you straight to the RB songs. Plus, you can sort by artist, track packs or complete albums. You can also preview the songs and see the difficulty for the different instruments.

After purchasing and downloading a song, it will install automatically. If it doesn't, you'll see a little icon of your song on the Xross Media Bar that you can click to commence the installation.

Since you're asking about downloading songs, does that mean you haven't yet downloaded the 20 free RB2 songs? There are detailed instructions on how to download the songs on the back of your RB2 instruction manual.

hey im thinking about getting the rock band 1 bundle. but i also want rock band 2. if i buy the bundle can i use the instruments on rock band 1 for rock band 2? or do u need to buy a rock band 2 bundle? plzzzz answer!

You can use Rock Band 1 instruments for Rock Band 2 but I would prefer that you just buy Rock Band 2.

Because Rock Band 2 instruments are much, much better than Rock Band 1. But if you prefer to have both Rock Band 1 & 2, then yeah, you can use the instruments for both.
